Hi! I'm Aditya & this is my a quiet chronicle from the borderlands of systems, computation, and research.

I am a sophomore in engineering school, learning how machines work from the ground up. I find myself interested in the parts most people overlook, where memory exists, silicon controls things, and layers of logic lie beneath every concept. Recently, I have been studying Rust along with C, gradually figuring out why systems operate the way they do. Sometimes, I spend evenings reading old papers by people who are far smarter than I am. When the workload becomes overwhelming, I go back to the piano for a little while.

I thought neurons just “turned on and off.” AND I WAS WRONG!!! Turns out some neurons behave more like tuning forks. SO SO SO!!! While I was studying the resonate-and-fire model, I understood that the neuron only reacts when incoming signals match its preferred rhythm, like your brain secretly running frequency filters in the background. Isn't that crazy?

Never thought I'd see such a terrifying noise in my oscilloscope stream. Before I yap, let me tell you that Chua’s circuit is one of the simplest electronic circuits capable of chaos which has tiny differences in starting conditions that creates wildly different outputs. That means deterministic systems can still become unpredictable monsters.

Most components are goldfish. They remember nothing 😭!! But memristors remember resistance history even after shutdown. Which means hardware can literally “remember” the past physically. That’s the moment I realized: future AI hardware may stop separating memory and computation entirely. Brain-like computers suddenly stopped sounding fictional.

The Rust compiler publicly humiliated me for 3 hours

I always used C and it was fun until I met this karen! 😡 Rust literally drops a 900-page safety manual and insults your whole bloodline if you ignore it, HOW INSANE? At first I hated the borrow checker. But then I realized: it catches bugs that would’ve taken me 4 days and psychological damage in C. Rust doesn’t feel like programming. It feels like arguing with an immortal librarian lol.

I opened dead speakers and accidentally discovered black magic

I just wanted to know why my old speakers died. Then I found a buck converter quietly stepping voltage down using switching magic happening hundreds of thousands of times per second. Tiny inductor. Tiny capacitor. Tiny transistor. This is pure insanity, HOW did a human even think of controlling something that are way way way smaller than us? OMG
